Customer Service Representative

Outdoor Prolink is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative for our office in Boulder, CO. We’re looking for a friendly customer oriented professional savvy in using CRM and customer support software. The ideal candidate also enjoys the outdoors (or has experience working in the outdoor industry), loves people and is looking for a stable position at a fast-growing company. Outdoor Prolink is a members only e-commerce website for professionals working in the outdoor industry; we need you to help us continue to grow our 170k+ roster of outdoor pros!

Employment type: full-time, salary, hybrid remote schedule
Salary: Starting at $45,000 per year
Reports to: Customer Service & Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage the customer support ticket queue
  • Communicate daily by email & phone with customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with our manufacturing partners
  • Solve complex order issues
  • Be an active stakeholder in our software development process
  • Understand the sporting goods landscape and marketplace
  • Use a range of software tools to do your job (Excel, Zendesk, Order Processing + more)
  • Attending outdoor industry events and trade shows
  • Comfortable using a range of software tools to do your job (Excel, CRMs, ZenDesk and more)
  • Using data to make informed decisions


Competencies and Requirements

  • Customer-centric: A “people-person” who loves building relationships and is obsessed with understanding customers and crafting strategies to create a stellar customer experience.
  • Problem solver: Comfortable understanding customer needs and how to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced organization.
  • Analytical: Loves data and making sense of it. Knows how to incorporate data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proactive: Ready to take ownership of issues and lead initiatives through to completion.
  • Self-starter: Is excited to learn and experiment with new ideas. Works independently to solve problems.
  • An eager professional: 2+ years of professional experience. Organizes tasks and workload efficiently. Exercises diplomacy in the face of adversity. Stays positive, motivated and all-around-stoked (and inspires others to do the same)!
  • Hybrid schedule: Ability to work in the Boulder office a minimum of 2-3 days a week.
  • Bonus points: A background working in the outdoors or in the outdoor industry.
